Madame Hooch not only teaches first year students how to ride a broomstick, she also is a Quidditch instructor and referee. She has short, spiky grey hair and hawk-like yellow eyes. Her character was portrayed by actress Zoë Wanamaker in the film Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Madame Hooch is almost 100 years old during her time at Hogwarts.
